Message from the Chairman
Dear friends and colleagues,
It is indeed a pleasure for us to welcome you to Hyderabad on 6th - 9th April 2023 for the International Symposium on Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, AIG IBD Summit 2023.
Inflammatory Bowel diseases including Crohn’s Disease & Ulcerative Colitis are chronic lifelong conditions. Establishing and maintaining symptom control & remission is critical to minimize complications. IBD is an emergent disease not only in India but in several parts of the Asia-Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East with a rising incidence over the last decade. The changing socioeconomic environment and prevalent disease patterns has presented unique diagnostic dilemmas, management controversies and challenges. Our work along with the collaborators at the IBD-ENC (IBD Emerging Nations’ Consortium) have shown that we need a differential approach for geography.
This symposium aims to provide an indepth review of the pathophysiology, diagnostic methods, medical and surgical therapeutic approaches of IBD. Key international and national experts in the field will discuss, debate, and highlight the latest concepts and consensus in the management of IBD.
Overall, we need to learn from each other, share knowledge and best local practices to optimally manage our patients. We would like to welcome everyone who has interest and interaction with IBD patients to come forth and join us in Hyderabad in April 2023!!
